This document presents four models of teaching: transmission, apprenticeship, developmental, and nurturing. Each model has a different focus - transmission focuses on content delivery, apprenticeship on integrating learning and practice, developmental on following student development, and nurturing on cultivating student potential. The models also differ in their views of learning, the teacher's role, and the curriculum.
